one day project

we had one day (or about 5 hours) to research, develop and illustrate a list of 10 words,

1. Molto Spento
2. Spento
3. Piuevidente Ma Ancora Spento
4. Normale
5. Poco Piu Che Normale
6. Bello
7. Bello E Intenso
8. Molto Bello
9. Excellente
10. Eccezionale

they described a progression, and I decided to draw a selection of 18th Century wigs to portray the 10 words. a great challenge and I was very proud of them, done with a fine liner 0.1 and watercolour border.

illustrated book- 'Silas Marner' by George Eliot

my illustrations for the book, 'Silas Marner' by George Eliot.
a touching story of an old lonely weaver learning to open up his heart and eyes to the nice things of life after adopting an adorable little baby girl..

pen and ink drawings, please zoom in for a closer look : )

below is a snapshot of the illustrations mocked-up as book pages and mounted together.

my first stop-motion animation I made about a poor nursery which was burgled, where the burglars took everything from computers to cameras to the kid's xmas presents to even their milk in the fridge : (.

it was very different compared to using computer programs lol
made from pen and ink drawings and my own makeshift stop-motion studio.

above is a photo of some of the illustrated pieces used to create the animation.
this took so long to do! but well worth it, I hope you enjoy it x

this is a short animation I did in my first year in uni.
the project was based around the book "Invisible Cities" by Italo Calvino.
the brief was to choose and create an animation depicting what goes on in one of the cities, and I chose to animate "LEONIA"; the city which 're-news' itself every day.
